UFC 113: Machida Shogun la revanche

L’UFC 113 est un événement d’arts martiaux mixtes qui a lieu le samedi 8 mai 2010 au Centre Bell de Montréal.
L’affiche de la soirée est la revanche entre Lyto Machida et Mauricio Rua. Le Dragon Machida l’avait emporté de justesse sur décision des juges. Un combat plutôt inégal dans lequel on avait vu l’invaincu Machida éprouver pour la première fois des difficultés.
Egalement en vedette le québécois Patrick Côté contre Alan Belcher, et Kimbo Slice le retour !

Machida bat Shogun Rua à l'UFC 104

Lyoto Machida le Dragon est resté champion en battant Mauricio Shogun Rua à l’ UFC 104.
Victoire en 5 rounds par décision unanime 48-47, 48-47, 48-47.
Machida a affronté son adversaire le plus coriace de toute sa carrière. Sans se tromper on peut dire que Rua a dominé légèrement le combat en portant plus de coups sur Machida.
Il aurait pu avoir le titre mais Machida reste champion. La foule ne semblait pas apprécié.
En tout cas on a vu un visage plus vulnérable de Machida ce soir, j’étais persuadé qu’il allait perdre après 3-4 rounds.
Ses prochains combats seront loin d’être gagnés d’avance mais en attendant The Dragon reste invaincu avec 16 victoires dans la catégorie light-Heavyweights.

-Light Heavyweight Championship: Lyoto Machida bat Mauricio Rua par décision unanime 48-47, 48-47, 48-47 après 5 rounds. Rua a dominé, Machida semblait fatigué mais il conserve son titre. J’aurais pensé que les juges auraient donné la victoire à Rua mais comme dit le commentateur US, pour devenir champion, tu dois battre le champion, clairement (autrement dit pas après 5 rounds à la décision).
-Heavyweight bout: Cain Velasquez bat Ben Rothwell au 2è round par TKO (arrêt de l’arbitre). Domination totale de Velasquez, Rothwell était complètement épuisé après le premier round. Velasquez toujours invaincu après 7 combats.
